The pic above depicts how my right foot looks today, October 14th. It's healing very nicely although it's not closing as quickly as I'd like. But it is healing which is the important thing. I'm currently at San Francisco General Hospital.
I may be mobile in less than three weeks depending on how long the skin graph takes to heal. I've never had a skin graph so I don't know what the process is or how long things take to happen and I don't know how long things take to heal.
The picture below shows how my foot looked immediately after the second surgery. I think it's been about 4 or 5 weeks. I'm on morphine so the days blend in together.
I'm writing this blog post while waiting for the doctor to give me good news. I just received an appointment for two weeks out. We're currently in the middle of October so I'm looking at being hospitalized for another month possibly.
